ABOUT US
Our Mission
Net Impact's mission is to improve the world by growing and strengthening a network of new leaders who are using the power of business to make a positive net social, environmental and economic impact.
Net Impact at UMass-Amherst enables and encourages members to use business for social good in their graduate education, communities, and future careers.
Our Vision
The University of Massachusetts-Amherst chapter brings together like-minded students seeking to build their personal networks and take concrete action to make a significant impact while simultaneously developing a new generation of leaders who use the power of business to create a better world.
Our Focus
Social & Professional Networking
-
We plan and sponsor events that provide our members with formal and informal opportunities to meet peers that share common interests and goals related to socially and enviornmentally responsible business.
Education
-
We schedule speakers, organize activities, and pursue initiatives that permit our members to acquire valuable skills and knowledge for use during (and after) their graduate studies.
-
We promote the study of issues related to socially responsible business within the Isenberg School of Management, and across the entire University of Massachusetts-Amherst campus.
Community Impact
-
We build working relationships with local community organizations--private corporations, non-profits, and government agencies--to promote socially responsible business and environmental sustainability at UMass-Amherst, in the Pioneer Valley, the State of Massachusetts, and the global community.
Professional Development
-
We provide career resources that enable our members to find jobs in fields geared toward or incorporating attention to social impact and sustainability, and connect students with a worldwide network of Net Impact members.
